Description

Kyabobo National Park is one of Ghana’s most spectacular and least-visited protected areas, covering approximately 360 km² along the Ghana–Togo border in the Oti Region. Established in 1993, the park protects a remarkable transition between forest and savannah ecosystems, creating exceptional biodiversity. It is home to more than 230 bird species, over 500 butterfly species, and a variety of wildlife including buffalo, kob antelope, bushbuck, waterbuck, monkeys, baboons, and numerous reptiles.

The park is famous for Mount Dzebobo, Ghana’s second-highest mountain (about 876 metres above sea level), offering rewarding hikes with panoramic views across Ghana and neighboring Togo. Visitors can also enjoy nature walks, birdwatching, camping, waterfall excursions, and guided eco-tours, making Kyabobo an ideal destination for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts.
